Over 30 years ago, when Sean Duval started Golden Limousine International, he envisioned a company that does more than provide superior transportation services. The vision has always included sharing Golden’s success with others by giving back to the community that he, his family, and dedicated team work, live, and play in. Sean and the Golden team do not just talk the talk, they walk the walk - as the saying goes.
The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation
Sean is currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation. The Community Foundation enriches the quality of life in our region by connecting people, charitable causes, and permanent capital. Proceeds from their funds are distributed to support nonprofits through grants, and students through scholarships. Discover how donors can establish a fund or grow an existing one.
The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation awards grants through several competitive grant programs each year. Some examples include The Youth Council grant program which supports programs that serve local youth between the ages of 5-18; The Glacier Hills Legacy Fund Golden Opportunities grant program, which supports organizations and services supporting vulnerable older adults in Washtenaw County; and the Arts and Culture program which invests funds to activate the artistic and cultural identity of all people in Washtenaw County and ensures a fundamental level of access to arts and culture for everyone. Cornhole for a Cause
We are proud to have been a sponsor of the seventh annual Emerging Philanthropists Cornhole Tournament!
Emerging Philanthropists are a group of early to mid-career professionals who engage in volunteering, advocating, and fundraising for United Way. Members donate, contribute their time, and have opportunities to network with community philanthropic leaders and local corporate executives.
Emerging Philanthropists representing the United Way of Washtenaw County and Southeastern Michigan came together to host this sold-out, fun-filled event.
The tournament marked the first major event to take place since the official merger between United Way of Southeastern Michigan and United Way of Washtenaw County. This gathering was a testament to how much can be accomplished when we come together for the community. Nearly 90 people attended, an incredible turnout that doubled last year’s count. And, thanks to increased sponsorships and registrations, the tournament was able to raise more money than ever, with $10,000 going to the Crisis and Recovery Fund.
Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
.We are also proud sponsors of the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County’s Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Events to support vulnerable populations, taking place November 10 - 17.
The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County is the primary provider of services and emergency shelter for approximately 1,200 Washtenaw County individuals each year. In Washtenaw County, 5000 people are experiencing homelessness.

EMU Thankful for You
With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, we are delighted to be providing transportation services for the Eastern Michigan University Thankful for You event on Thursday, November 16 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. This sit-down community Thanksgiving meal for those in need, celebrates the spirit of gratitude and the bonds that make our community strong. Also on November 16, Thankful-To-Go will take place from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, offering a drive-thru option for picking up items to fill the Thanksgiving table.
Both events will take place at the George Gervin GameAbove Center, Eastern Michigan University. Golden Limousine will be running complimentary shuttle buses from five locations
POST-EVENT UPDATE
We are proud to have been a part of these great community events and are happy to report that both were warmly embraced by the community. During the first part of the event, more than 250 cars lined up to receive meal kits for up to six people with traditional Thanksgiving staples and a mix of frozen turkeys, hams, and pies. The dinner that evening welcomed 500 community members who were treated to a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner featuring traditional favorites and a band performance.
