Semaj Morgan’s journey to the Big House started long before he wore maize and blue. As a Detroit native, Semaj knew who Golden was from his high school recruiting days.

The Semaj J. Morgan Foundation: Leading with Purpose
Inspired by the Sound Mind, Sound Body program and mentor Coach Blackwell, Semaj launched the Semaj J. Morgan Foundation to support youth and families affected by gun violence.
The Foundation hosts Mother’s and Father’s Day events for parents who have lost children, supports foster youth, promotes literacy, and runs sports camps to inspire the next generation.
“I know I have a strong influence,” Semaj said, “and I want to use that influence for good.”
That spirit of giving back aligns perfectly with Golden’s vision: to drive impact far beyond transportation.
