When I started Golden Limousine, with my family and a single limousine, in 1992, I had several dreams for this business. I wanted Golden to become a premiere transportation provider in Southeastern Michigan and beyond – but more than that, I wanted to own a business that was all about building strong partnerships with my customers, our community, and the wider world.
It was also important to me to build Golden Limousine as a family business; not just a legacy to leave my children, but also an organization where they could grow, learn, and develop and fulfill dreams of their own.
Twenty-six years later, these dreams have all come true. Today, our services range from hosting wedding rehearsal parties on the Golden Trolley to managing airport and hotel transportation for business and personal travel and many other trips in the U.S. and around the world, hence the addition of “International” to our name in recent years.
My sons Brandon and Chris grew up with Golden, and today they play key roles in the company as our Golden office manager and the general manager of MODE Car, respectively.
I’m also proud to say that Golden Limousine is a business built on thriving local, regional, national and even international relationships. Here in our community, we sponsor events like the March of Dimes Signature Chef Event and have partnered to provide transportation to WEMU during the Detroit Jazz Fest. I am a board member, and past chair, of the Ann Arbor CVB and Ypsi Real, and other community based organization boards, which have helped our region to continue to grow. Our national and international business partnerships allow us to arrange transportation throughout Michigan, across the country, and even around the world.
My family and I are thrilled to be able to give back so much to the community that has supported us all these years.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we want to thank the Ann Arbor community, our partners and our customers for making Golden Limousine the company it is today.
