In the 2023 season, he became an instant spark for the Wolverines’ offense and special teams, contributing to Michigan’s historic 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship win. He broke the Big Ten Championship record for punt return yards, was named Michigan Athletics Freshman of the Year, and earned All-Big Ten Academic honors in 2025.
Known for his versatility, speed, and big-play ability, Semaj continues to grow into one of the most exciting talents in college football—poised for a breakout season in 2025.

He’s an honor roll student, a Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community Impact Award nominee, and the founder of his own nonprofit - The Semaj J.
