Gather your friends and ride in style on your way to Detroit with Golden Limousine.
This Labor Day weekend tradition celebrates jazz’s rich history and brings together jazz enthusiasts from all across southeastern Michigan, and beyond, for a celebration of music and community. "We are proud to once again be teaming up with WEMU to provide shuttles to the beloved Detroit Jazz Festival,” said Golden Limousine President & CEO Sean Duval. “ Supporting this great community event by providing a hassle-free transportation option for those from the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti communities is very important to us as a company. ''
Molly Motherwell, General Manager of WEMU, echoes this sentiment. “We launched this program in 2010, and I only wish we had started sooner. Over the years, hundreds of WEMU listeners and jazz enthusiasts have enjoyed the convenience, affordability, and simplicity of our shuttle service. Many have shared that they always wanted to attend the Detroit Jazz Festival but felt uncertain about navigating the city and finding parking. A shuttle service has made it easy for them, and they absolutely love it—just as much as we do!”
“It's a fantastic way for us to serve our community, support the Festival's green initiatives, and connect with fellow jazz lovers on the ride.”
As a founding partner of the Detroit Jazz Festival, WEMU has always been deeply committed to this iconic event in downtown Detroit. Establishing the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti shuttle service is just another great way WEMU has contributed to this community event in downtown Detroit.
The Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation has celebrated Detroit’s rich history of jazz music by providing year-round concerts and educational programming, and of course, organizing the world’s largest free jazz festival, featuring world-class talent, over Labor Day weekend for more than 40 years. The same mission that started this foundation still continues today.
“The artists scheduled to perform on the festival stages reflect a very dynamic and eclectic group of talented jazz artists that represent our commitment to the propagation of jazz in all of its forms and evolutions and mission to honor Detroit jazz legacy and present free jazz to our faithful fans in downtown Detroit and our audiences worldwide," said Chris Collins, president and artistic director, Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation.
The lineup for this year -- Jazz Fest Schedule -- will be the highlight of the Summer of 2024 and a musical journey you won't want to miss!

Our user-friendly shuttle reservation portal makes it easy to register online, which adds to the ease of attending the event. My team always looks forward to welcoming new faces and re-connecting with Detroit Jazz Fest and Golden Shuttle lovers," said Sean Duval.
