Golden Limousine International and WEMU 89.1 are thrilled to once again offer convenient, round-trip shuttle service to the world’s largest free jazz festival, in the heart of downtown Detroit.

Relax, sit back, and enjoy a stress-free ride to Detroit with Golden Limousine’s Jazz Fest Shuttle!

The Detroit Jazz Festival has been a centerpiece of Detroit’s cultural calendar going on for 46 years, celebrating the city’s rich jazz heritage and bringing a community of world class musicians and jazz enthusiasts together into the center of Detroit. “Detroit is very dear to my heart,” said Sean Duval, President and CEO of Golden Limousine International. “Detroit offers us so many experiences, and this is just one of the events that makes it so great. I’m glad that I can share my love for the city by partnering with WEMU once again for this shuttle service to provide seamless transportation to this iconic event that is a personal favorite of mine.”

General Manager of WEMU, Molly Motherwell adds, "the Detroit Jazz Festival is WEMU's longest-running event partnership. Ever since the festival was founded in 1980 as the Montreux-Detroit Jazz Festival, WEMU has been a part of it - on stage, on air, and now online."

"In 2010, we began our partnership with Golden Limousine International to run festival shuttle buses from Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor. It's an eco-friendly and cost-effective way of getting down to the Detroit waterfront to experience these fantastic three days of free jazz from all over the world. As we celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2025, we are once again delighted to partner with both organizations to give our listeners the opportunity to be part of this musical experience," Molly further shared.

About the Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation

Under the leadership of President and Artistic Director Chris Collins, the Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization that presents jazz and other workshops throughout the year. Hosting the largest free jazz festival in the world, 26 percent of its audience comes from out of state to view these artists and musicians.

"We are thrilled to kick off our 46th year as a free festival and continue our mission of providing inspiring jazz performances to our faithful fans around the globe without any barriers," said Chris Collins, President and Artistic Director of Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation. “The first thing they're going to feel is this marvelous energy, the family vibe, and there's these great audiences that even the artists tour around the world (for). They love to come to Detroit. They love to record in Detroit because the audiences are so fantastic.”
